The first time you sign in to Monnet, a short guided flow gets you set up. Until you finish, Monnet keeps you in onboarding rather than dropping you into an empty app — so you always land somewhere useful. Which path you see depends on how you arrived:
  • New organizer — you signed up on your own and need a workspace.
  • Invited by email — a teammate sent you a workspace invitation.
  • Invited from Slack — you followed a Monnet link from a Slack message.
Once you’ve finished (or you already have a workspace), Monnet treats you as a returning user and takes you straight to your inbox.

New organizer

If you sign up without a pending invite, Monnet walks you through setting up your first workspace:
1

Welcome

A short intro screen. Continue when you’re ready.
2

Create your workspace

Name your workspace and optionally upload a logo. The name is what your team sees; the workspace gets its own URL.
3

Invite teammates

Add the people you’ll be deciding with — by email, or by connecting Slack. You can do both, one, or neither (see the note below).
4

Write your first motion

Describe a decision in plain language. Monnet drafts a structured motion from your prompt and drops you onto it, ready to refine and publish.
Inviting teammates and connecting Slack are optional during onboarding — you can skip them and add both later from workspace settings. See Workspace for managing members and the Slack integration.

Invited by email

When a teammate invites you to their workspace, you receive an email with an invitation link.
  1. Open the link. It takes you to an invitation page for that workspace.
  2. Sign in (or sign up) with the email the invite was sent to. If you’re signed in with a different account, Monnet tells you and lets you switch — the invite only works for the address it was issued to.
  3. Accept to join the workspace, or Decline to dismiss the invitation.
Accepting drops you into the workspace as a member; you skip the workspace-creation steps entirely.

Invited from Slack

If your team has connected Slack, Monnet can reach you in a DM before you ever have a Monnet account. The DM links to the motion that needs you. Following that link signs you up and runs a short Slack-specific flow: a welcome, a confirmation that you want to join the workspace, and a final screen that takes you straight to the motion that prompted the invite. From there you’re a full member and can use Monnet directly, not just from Slack. If you decline, nothing is lost — you can still join later from a future Slack link.

After onboarding

Once you’ve created or joined a workspace, onboarding is done. Future sign-ins go directly to your inbox. Anything you skipped — inviting teammates, connecting Slack — is available from workspace settings whenever you’re ready.
